Artsy Shot: Rising Slowly

Executive Summary
How to use microdosing for change? We all know that change is not a "one-time thing" – it often requires repetition, reflection, and dedication. Therefore, if you want to use microdosing to take control of your life, a single instance will probably not be enough. It is advisable to plan for a considerable period (e.g., four weeks) and approach the topic step by step, microdose by microdose. To keep track and safely reach your goal (the desired change), a plan often helps. In this case, the Psychedelika Club microdosing roadmap.
Once you enter the micro-cosmos of psychedelics, you often don't know where to start. If a big psychedelic journey isn't calling you directly, then a micro-step approach is definitely a good idea – which brings us to microdosing. Microdosing has gained (finally) renewed public interest in recent years – in Silicon Valley, it has been socially acceptable for quite some time. Here in Germany, we are still a bit behind. Until that changes, however, we can be the change we so desperately wish to see in the world ourselves.
The people in our circle of friends and we as a team are big fans – although everyone uses microdosing very differently: for more focus on projects, to better allow emotions, or simply to feel generally more comfortable in themselves. If you want to know more about the basics of microdosing, feel free to check out our Microdosing menu item – there you will find everything you need to know about the topic. In today's blog post, we focus on the "doing" and particularly address the question: "How often is enough?".

How does microdosing work?
Microdosing is actually child's play: the most common dose is 10 µg LSD. You start in the morning (because we know LSD works for 12+ hours) and simply observe yourself for a day. If the pattern on the carpet starts to move, the dose was too high; if you don't feel anything at all by bedtime, probably too low. Ideally, you shouldn't noticeably feel anything throughout the day, but if you mentally review the day in the evening and think: "Today was a good day"*, then you have found your optimal dose. For some, it might only be 5 µg or rather 15 µg – ultimately, you are the person who can best feel that out!
So far so good. But now you're probably asking yourself the next question: How often can I now nibble on the "forbidden fruit"?
The most well-known microdosing schedule is named after James Fadiman ("Fadiman Protocol"), who is considered the grandfather of microdosing. (Jim, by the way, wrote a great book* on psychedelics in general, which we highly recommend to all bookworms.) The Fadiman Protocol, also known as the "10-3 Protocol", involves microdosing every third day for 30 days, alternating between a day under the influence, a day under so-called afterglow (the positive after-effects of psychedelics), and a day of sobriety. This schedule, which circulates on the internet in this or similar forms with slight modifications, has established itself as best practice in the microdosing community. You can do that, but in our opinion, there's still more to it... That's exactly why we, as a team, have come up with our very own microdosing schedule:
The Psychedelika Club Microdosing Schedule
The Psychedelika Club Microdosing Schedule works as follows: Once you have determined your optimal microdosing dose, you consume it twice during the (work)week, on Tuesday and Thursday. The third microdosing day is on the weekend and can be flexibly scheduled – the special feature of our schedule: the option of a minidosing experience to make the 4-week experiment even more intense. This means that, depending on your private schedule, you either microdose normally on Saturday or Sunday, or if you feel that you want to delve a little deeper into your microdosing journey, you simply double (or possibly triple) the dose.
For illustration, here is a day-by-day summary of the Psychedelika Club Microdosing Schedule we just described:
Variant 1 ("on the Lord's Day they shall remain sober")
- Monday: Neutral
- Tuesday: Microdosing
- Wednesday: Neutral
- Thursday: Microdosing
- Friday: Neutral
- Saturday: Microdosing or Minidosing
- Sunday: Neutral
Variant 2 ("Sunday is Funday")
- Monday: Neutral
- Tuesday: Microdosing
- Wednesday: Neutral
- Thursday: Microdosing
- Friday: Neutral
- Saturday: Neutral
- Sunday: Microdosing or Minidosing
This is repeated for four consecutive weeks, resulting in a total of eight microdosing days and four additional micro- or minidosing days.
Yes, you read that right: The Psychedelika Club Microdosing Schedule combines microdosing and minidosing and is therefore not actually a pure microdosing schedule – if you want to be precise. Why did we design it this way? We are convinced that if you have clearly decided with intention to give more space to your inner world for four weeks, weekends offer a wonderful opportunity to delve deeper into your process. Often you have more time on the weekend than during the week, but we do not recommend rigorously planning minidosing every weekend. Instead, we focus on the moment (aka the here and now) and your intuition. Therefore, we invite you to check in with yourself every weekend to feel what you currently need and what feels right for you.
✨ If you are still struggling with this, if you feel like you have lost access to your feelings, your needs, and your intuition, then we warmly invite you: On a journey home, back to yourself. It starts on January 20th! Together, we will begin our Microdosing Online Course, a four-week journey that combines microdosing with our team's beloved and extensively tested mindfulness practices – so you can experience the best of psychedelics and emotional healing. Join the Microdosing Club!
Here's another reminder: three microdoses can lead to a small mini-trip, so this should be well-prepared, and potential distractions should be eliminated beforehand. If you already know that you are planning fixed minidosing days, we recommend from our own experience that you first double the dose and then gradually increase it.
Microdosing every day?
If you're wondering why you can't just microdose every day: every time you consume LSD, you immediately develop a tolerance (the concept of tolerance should be familiar to you in relation to alcohol, cannabis, or medications, where it is often even desired and one is described as "adjusted" when tolerance is desired). If you were to consume the same dose two days in a row, you would feel significantly less or nothing at all on the second day. So you would have to increase the dose (experts often report a factor of 1.75) to achieve similar effects – or take a break, which we consider the smarter, because more reasonable, approach. Therefore, the break after minidosing days in the Psychedelika Club's LSD microdosing schedule is at least two days (instead of one day after microdosing). That's really all there is to it. And yes, you read correctly earlier, after the four weeks, it is recommended to take a break again – to reflect and integrate, because only then do you truly unlock the potential of psychedelics!

Outro
Microdosing refers to the intake of psychedelics such as LSD in amounts too small to produce intoxicating effects. Nevertheless, users repeatedly report feeling more conscious, more in tune with themselves, more creative, and more content as a result. The contraindications for microdosing, as well as the risks and side effects of psychedelics, are limited – among other things, because the dose is simply so minimal. To make you feel more at home in the microdosing cosmos, we have launched the Psychedelika Club microdosing roadmap, which guides you step by step on the journey to yourself and sustainable change.
